The biggest obstacle for the Democrats may not be women identifying with Sarah Palin and switching ranks, but a bunch of people who were going to stay home on Nov. 4th, and now have a reason to vote for John McCain. These people don't care that McCain is a weathered 72 years old and chose an ignorant neophyte to be a step away from the presidency. No, they welcome it. The prospect of an arch-conservative, ultra-reactionary member of the Christian right becoming president in the near future surely has them salivating.
And that, is the scariest thing of all.
