Everybody’s harping on about how Rudy “King of 9/11” Giuliani and GOP VP candidate Gov. Sarah “Hockey Mom” Palin let Obama/Biden and Democrats have it at the RNC last night. Just some red meat for the party base who wouldn’t believe anything different than what was spewed from the podium unless it were rebuffed by Jesus Christ himself. Whatever.
The key thing is that Palin lied about her record and positions on a national stage while comparing herself to a pitbull with lipstick. Great. That way she won’t be able to play the victim/sexism card and Joe Biden won’t have to apologize for wiping the floor with her at the Vice Presidential debate. Sweet.
As for the top of the GOP ticket, I’ve got my own 5 point plan for the Dems. But in the end it all comes down to how well they get this across: if you value the judgment of a man who sided and agreed with the policies of the worst presidency in modern history 90% of the time, and want 4 more of the cronyism, corruption, criminality and ineptitude of the last 8 years, then McCain’s your man.
Pure and simple.
