Jerusalem: Trump's Middle Eastern Waterloo?

The opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem was met with Israeli forces killing of dozens of Palestinians protesting it, as Jerusalem represents the capital of a future Palestinian homeland, as well as rebukes by the vast majority of those invited to attend, and the calling out of pastor Robert Jeffress, a spiritual advisor to Donald Trump who gave the event's opening prayer, as a “religious bigot” by Mitt Romney, who denounced Jeffress’ previous attacks on Jews, Mormons and Muslims.

This is just primo foreign policy from a man who, as a candidate, criticized the work of the previous US administrations, which he claimed had led to further destabilizing the Middle East. And this move is what, exactly? Oh, that’s right: pandering to the white Evangelicals who blindly support him. Of course. Never mind that a vast number of these folks could not care any less about Israel except as it pertains to biblical prophecy, so…
