"Deplorables" Is Too Kind A Word (part 2)

We all know White House aide Kelly Sadler “joked” at a closed door meeting this past Thursday that Sen. John McCain’s opposition to senate confirmation of Gina Haspel as CIA director didn’t matter because “he’s dying anyway.” And that much to the dismay of decent people everywhere, Sadler did not lose her job. Plus, to the surprise of no one, this White House did not apologize for her remarks.

So, it’s pretty much par for the course to learn that the next day Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed the issue not by chastising Sadler but by privately berating the White House communications team for leaking Sadler’s remark to the press. They, in turn, leaked this dressing down, in which Huckabee Sanders called the original leak "disgusting" to the press.

You see, Huckabee Sanders’ problem was not that someone in the service of a draft-dodging piece of shit mocked the cancer battle of an American war hero, but that it was leaked.
