As anyone even slightly familiar with The New York Post knows, "subtle" and "tactful" are not adjectives associated in any way with the Gotham tabloid; "crass" and "vulgar" are more like it. So, it should surprise no one how they treated über celebrity Kim Kardashian's recent visit to the White House, who was there in an effort to get the president on board with prison reform. That's a nice thing and kudos to her if she makes any inroads, but it's doubtful she will seeing as the pro-prison privatization folks are big time Republican donors and incarcerating people is big business. Just ask Jeff "Good People Don't Smoke Marihuana" Sessions.
But my apologies to those who might be offended that I was more upset about the current state of our country: one in which two unqualified reality show stars can possibly make and decide prison policy, than by the misogyny of the front page.
