CNN's Poppy Harlow returned, a year after her previous visit, to Beattyville, Kentucky, an Appalachian town with more than 50% of its residents living in poverty and one in which Trump won 81% of the vote. Despite admittedly grim prospects, they continue to support him in large numbers, mostly for reasons that have little to do with competence or even a solid plan.
At the 5:43 mark a Trump supporter reiterates his support for him by emphasizing how Trump "is a normal person like myself, not a politician." A quip pregnant with the kind of ignorant narcissism that should've been meet with, oh I dunno, "And do you think you're qualified to run the country?" But that would require the kind of guts CNN so terribly lacks. See for yourself:
