During his speech at the RNC Tuesday night, former senator Fred Thompson, said the following about John McCain:
"Now, being a POW certainly doesn’t qualify anyone to be President. But it does reveal character."
And exactly how does that first sentence differ from what Gen. Wesley Clark said about the subject, and was subsequently thrown under the bus for? This is why I defended Gen. Clark's pronouncement on the topic: because when you're right, you're right. And the Gen. was on the side of righteousness. So, once again, here's to you, sir. Oh, and Sen. Obama? This is what happens when you lack the balls to call out the Republicans on their shit: they spin it against you, then later use it in their favor.
